Areas We Serve | Log Home Services Jackson Hole WY

Log home refinishing throughout Teton County: Jackson Hole, Wilson, Teton Village, Driggs ID, Victor ID. Local expertise for local conditions.

Jackson Hole & Teton Valley Log Home Service

We work where the log homes are, and in this corner of Wyoming and Idaho, that means properties from the valley floor at 6,200 feet up to 8,000 feet. Each area has its own microclimates and challenges for log home maintenance.

Our Primary Service Territory

Jackson & Jackson Hole

The heart of our work. From the historic properties along Flat Creek to the luxury estates in 3 Creek Ranch, we know the specific challenges of Teton County's flagship community.

What makes Jackson Hole log homes unique:

FactorImpact on Your Home
6,200+ ft elevation40% more UV exposure than sea level
$2.5M median home valuePremium materials and craftsmanship expected
Resort-town populationMany second homes, absentee owners
Short building seasonMay–October for exterior work
Teton Range proximityWind exposure, dramatic weather swings

We understand the homeowners association requirements at places like Shooting Star and the architectural guidelines that govern historic properties in the town of Jackson.

Wilson

Just west of Jackson, Wilson sits at the confluence of Fish Creek and the Snake River. It's home to some of the valley's best and most challenging log home properties.

Wilson-specific considerations:

  • Fall Creek Road corridor. Steep access, sharp elevation gains
  • Snake River properties. Higher humidity, different weather patterns
  • Historic ranches. Many dating to early 1900s, requiring sensitive restoration
  • Teton Pass proximity. Heavy snow loads, wind exposure

We've worked on everything from hand-hewn cabins built by homesteaders to contemporary timber frame estates in the newer subdivisions.

Teton Village

Base of the mountain. Elevation varies with terrain, and many homes sit above 7,000 feet where UV and weather exposure is more intense than the valley floor.

Teton Village challenges:

  1. Extreme UV. Every 1,000 feet of elevation adds roughly 4% more UV exposure
  2. Wind loading. Prevailing westerlies off the Snake River Range
  3. Access limitations. Many roads not maintained for winter access
  4. Shorter season. Often 2–3 weeks less viable exterior work time than Jackson

We schedule Teton Village projects with extra buffer time for weather and recommend more frequent maintenance cycles than valley-floor properties.

Idaho Service Area

Driggs

Across Teton Pass, Driggs sits in the Idaho side of the Teton Valley. The elevation is lower (~6,100 ft), but the climate is similar, and the log home stock is as impressive.

Driggs properties we service include:

  • Rural ranch estates on large acreage
  • Teton Valley subdivisions with HOA requirements
  • Working ranches with historic log structures
  • Recreation properties used for hunting and skiing access

Victor

Further south in Teton Valley, Victor offers a milder climate and some of the best views of the west side of the Teton Range.

Victor-area considerations:

  • Proximity to Pine Creek Pass. Access challenges for some remote properties
  • Agricultural surroundings. Different dust and pollen considerations
  • Newer construction. Many homes built in 2000s–2010s, now entering first major maintenance cycle

Beyond Our Core Area

While Jackson Hole and Teton Valley are our focus, we do take on select projects in:

  • Alta, WY. North of Jackson, often in conjunction with Jackson-area work
  • Hoback Junction. South of Jackson, larger ranch properties
  • Alpine, WY. South of Hoback, occasional projects when logistics allow

We do not service:

  • Idaho Falls or Pocatello (too far for our specialized focus)
  • Yellowstone National Park (permitting and access complications)
  • Year-round properties in locations without winter road maintenance

Travel & Logistics

Our shop is in Jackson, which means:

  • Jackson Hole properties: Same-day response, no travel fees
  • Wilson/Teton Village: No additional travel fees
  • Driggs/Victor: Travel fees may apply for single-day consultations; waived for full projects

Remote or difficult-access properties (steep driveways, snow-locked winter locations, properties requiring 4WD) may require additional logistics planning and fees.
